It carries the same AUX and program outputs, two 4K@60Hz inputs, built-in 5.5-inch screen, and support for up to one NDI channel with a license key, sold separately.

Why the R5PRO-S

SDI is still the standard for pro cameras and long, locked cable runs. The R5PRO-S brings four SDI inputs and an SDI output into the R5PRO body, so you can build a hybrid HDMI and SDI rig without moving up to a full rack switcher.
