This unit produces more available gain due to the silicon transistors used. It also has a different texture of fuzztone which can be adjusted by the means of an internal trimmer. Thanks to its carefully selected components, Ive managed to make the fuzztone smooth sounding similar to its germanium version. Though it is a noticeably brighter sounding fuzz, with a little less warmth I find that, there is very excitable character to its fuzztone, that I really like.
