The Kicker 4.0 replaces the pillow. It sits inside the drum and damps both the batter and the resonant head at once, which reveals the attack and soaks up the muddy mid range instead of choking the whole drum. Damping is tunable through three removable foam tubes, and there is a built in spot for a Shure Beta 91A. For a traditional microphone, add the Kicker Mic Stand.
