The DOD 250-X features the same Gain and Level control potentiometer values and tapers as the original OD250, providing the familiar control knob feel and range that users have come to expect.

The 250-X includes the new 3-position toggle switch that not only faithfully replicates the original 250 stock SILICON mode but also includes two additional modes for additional versatility. The ASYM mode provides an entirely different asymmetrical even-harmonic distortion characteristic.

The third toggle switch selection is a LIFT mode which eliminates diode clipping entirely from the signal path, providing a clean boost at moderate levels, or even a dirty boost as you drive the LM741 op-amp into clipping at higher gain settings.
