The GT SE takes the Numa X Piano GT and refines it. The satin metallic finish and handcrafted wooden sides are the visible changes, but the expanded memory and Firmware 3.0 are what matter to how it plays.

Underneath it is the same platform: the Fatar TP/400 Wood hammer action keybed with three contacts, escapement and aftertouch, in a metal and solid cabinet with the redesigned rail system for mounting accessories.

Studiologic positions this as a new standard for the modern stage piano, and the specification supports the claim.

The cabinet carries the redesigned rail system, so the magnetic music stand and computer plates hook on without clamps or adhesive.

What Is Different From the Standard GT?

Four things.

• A distinctive satin metallic finish rather than the standard treatment
• Handcrafted wooden side panels
• Expanded internal memory
• The new Firmware 3.0

What Does Escapement Mean?

Escapement is the small notch you feel near the bottom of the key travel on a real grand piano, where the hammer disengages from the action. Fatar reproduces it mechanically in the TP/400 Wood. If you learned on an acoustic, it is the detail your fingers notice first and the one most digital actions leave out.

What Comes in the Box?

The instrument, power supply and documentation. Stand, case and pedals are separate.

• AMS-SL/X-BAG softcase for the SL and Numa X series
• AMS-X-MUSIC-STAND and AMS-X-COMPUTER-PLATE magnetic accessories
• A sustain pedal to suit, or a triple pedal if your parts need one

Why Studiologic

Studiologic is the instrument brand of Fatar, the Italian company that has built keybeds for a large share of the industry for decades. When you buy a Studiologic controller you are buying the action direct from the people who make it, which is why the TP/110 and TP/400 Wood keybeds turn up in this line first.
